Angelica Therese Bengtsson excels at pole vaulting. She was the winner of the first Summer Youth Olympics, held in Singapore 2010 as the first woman to achieve pole vault success. Bengtsson was a gold medalist during the World Youth Championships 2009 in Athletics, and also in the World Junior Championships 2010 in Athletics. Mark Charlson's father is an Iowan retired U.S. Navy veteran who had served in the U.S.S. O'Brien, which was stationed in the Philippines. The couple adopted her by Annabelle Panganiban while she was a baby Her grandparents, Adolfo as well as Mila Panganiban, helped raise her. Annabelle Panganiban was adopted by the baby girl as she was born and nurtured her by enlisting the aid by her grandparent Adolfo Panganiban.
