Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In addition, she is beginning classes in acting for herself. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell participated in the drama and music club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy part. Bell attended the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. Bell quit university in 2001, and began taking on the role Becky of Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credits in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now Bell's only role is the final credits. Bell was seen with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
