Anna Kendrick was already a Tony-nominated actress as a child when she was signed for the leading part in "Twilight." Between "Twilight" filming she also shot five other projects, including "Up in the Air". She played George Clooney in that film, which earned her an Oscar. Since her first appearance, she has been a part of numerous critically and commercially successful films like "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America". Anna Cook Kendrick was created in Portland, Maine, the 9th August 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant while her father was an historian teacher. Anna was raised in the home of her brother Michael who was an actor. Michael was then an actor. Anna Kendrick started auditioning for Broadway shows when she was a teen at Deering High School, Portland. At the age of 12, she was offered her first role in High Society. Despite the fact that she was just 12 years old the performance was rewarded with many nominations. She was a part-time actress in A Little Night Music from 2003 until 2004. Her film debut was at Camp in the same year, aged fifteen. Kendrick received awards for her performance, as well as for her role in Rocket Science 2007 at age 15.
